Stuart Omans is “well-known to Orlando theater audiences as founding artistic director of what is now the Orlando Shakespeare Theater. He was also a long-time University of Central Florida English professor and department chair.” Skellings helped Omans get started with his highly regarded approach to teaching Shakespeare by inviting Omans to bring his students to perform at Florida International University through the International Institute for Creative Communication. Skellings had once taught Shakespeare and recognized the value of Omans unique approach.
