Biography
Robert Frost is “an American poet and writer. One of the most popular and critically respected American poets of his generation, Frost was honored frequently during his lifetime, receiving four Pulitzer Prizes for Poetry. From 1958 to 1959 he served as the Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress.” Skellings knew most of Frost’s poems by heart and met him when he gave a poetry reading at the University of Iowa 1959. They had their picture taken together.
