Biography

F.I.T.'s College of Aeronautics was preceded by Aerospace Technical Institute (ATI). ATI was integrated into the university in 1972, and broken up into the School of Aeronautics for academics and F.I.T. Aviation Inc. in 1972 for flight training. F.I.T. Aviation LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Florida Institute of Technology and an integral part of the College of Aeronautics, as well as operating a for-profit FBO separate from the university.
