Biography
The University of Iowa is a public research university in Iowa City, Iowa. Skellings received his Ph.D. in British and American Literature from the University of Iowa in 1962. He attended the Iowa Writers’ Workshop where Paul Engle became his mentor. Skellings played ping pong on a regular basis with poet and professor Donald Justice.
