Florida Center for the Book is the first affiliate of the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress, for celebrating the literary heritage of Florida, bringing readers and writers together and promoting books, reading, and libraries. Skellings was a guest lecturer and educational consultant to the Florida Center for the Book.
