Biography

Oak Ridge Associated Universities is an organization that works with the academia and industry to support better science education and training as well as develop enhanced relationships between the two groups. The organization has 121 member universities, as well as connections to the Oak Ridge National Laboratory that bring together faculty and staff from different institutions to work on large research initiatives. The institution started as a way to connect universities to the resources and research equipment available as a result of ORNL’s work in the Manhattan Project.
